Discover the grandeur of Iceland's South Coast with a comprehensive tour that includes a visit to a beautiful natural ice cave named Askur, an adventurous buggy or snowmobile ride to the glacier, and a visit to Iceland's most famous waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.
About the Tour
Your adventure begins with a pickup from Reykjavík, offering a picturesque and carbon-neutral journey along Iceland’s epic South Coast. As you travel, immerse yourself in Iceland's stunning vistas: rugged mountains, tranquil pastures, and black sands edged by the wild Atlantic.
The tour features two of Iceland's most celebrated waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss, renowned for its enchanting backdrop that allows visitors to walk behind its cascading veil, and Skógafoss, impressive for its thunderous drop and the rainbows dancing in its mist.
The highlight of this adventure starts at the Myrdaljökull Glacier Base Camp, where we'll switch vehicles and, depending on the conditions, take a thrilling ride on buggies or a monster truck and snowmobile. Enjoy a 20-30 minute ride through stunning landscapes to the glacier.
There is no need for a buggy or snowmobiling experience. However, you'll share a vehicle with your travel partner, and the driver must have a valid driver's license.
Leaving the vehicles behind, equipped with safety gear and guided by our expertly trained glacier guide, you'll delve deep into the heart of Myrdalsjökull. Inside the ice cave, experience a world of pristine snow and ancient ice adorned with deep blue, volcanic black, and sparkling white hues.
After the ice cave exploration, we'll drive back to the Base (another 20-30 minutes on the vehicles) and return to Reykjavík in the evening.
